Terms & Conditions
The Life is Private Network and its owners (hereafter LIP, us, our, we) and the user wishing to access our services (hereafter members, member, user, you, your) are agreeing to a set of terms and conditions as laid out below. It is hereby understood and accepted that LIP is a fee based, members only, online social network that brings members together through a shared interest in communicating with other people in any given city or region that we provide services, this is not a commercial network and should not be joined if you are a commercial business, any commercial business that subscribes will be removed without refund. Any information added by you when registering or content added to our network will be identified and used to deliver the LIP service. Any information added by you during registration, is and shall remain your property at all times and shall not at any time become the property or asset of LIP.
These terms and conditions are effective from Jan 25 2019 and may be updated at any time, any and all updates will be displayed on this page so please revisit this page regularly to ensure you are aware of the latest Terms and Conditions at all times.
These terms and conditions override any contrary terms or conditions published by us or anyone else at any time in relation to LIP, our services, membership offers, special offers, any membership subscription, competitions or any other information and services provided by us.
By using LIP, you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions, which shall take effect upon your first use of this website and continue until your membership expires. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following Terms and Conditions, please do not access and/or use our service. Unauthorised or public use is strictly prohibited and protected against.
DPA, GDPR, FTC, CAN-SPAM, PDPA & HIPAA
LIP and its owners, wherever necessary, required by law and clearly outlined and identified as a legislational requirement for the processing and management of PII (personally Identifiable Information) are committed to working towards compliance with all regulations relating to your right of privacy, the right of removal and the right of protection with regards to your PII as a citizen in any country or state where we operate our services in any given jurisdiction.
Personally identifiable information (PII), or sensitive personal information (SPI), as used in information security and privacy laws, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, citizen or to identify an individual in context.
As a social network and in making every effort to reduce the amount if any PII we request from you, we ask for the minimum amount of personally identifiable information (PII) required to operate our social network.
This information is, and is used for;
- Name - To provide an identity on the platform (using your real name is PII)
- Username - To provide secure login (not really PII as it is unique to this account)
- mail Address - To recieve activation code and verify real email address (email is definitely PII but is never displayed)
- Password - To protect your secure login (does not identify you as an individual & is securitised into 128 bit code, even we can't read it)
- Age Group - To provide generalised age search (generalised ages; ie 25-35 does not identify an individual)
- Town/City - To help with generalised area search (general town or city to find members local to you)
- Country - To help with generalised location search (country id to help identify culture, language and area)
- Interest A - To help match members interests (general list of interests to match interests and hobbies)
- Interest B - to further match members interests (general list of interests to match interests and hobbies)
LIP is a private members only online social community and as such none of the information or content that you provide or add to LIP is available in a public environment, it can only be viewed by other registered, login members of LIP.
Internally (once logged in), LIP does not display or provide access to any member email addresses, passwords or usernames, it is kept purely as a requirement in creating and securing your membership account as well as internal communications on the platform.
We are committed to the principles and objectives of the regulations protecting PII and a part of this commitment is to be clear and concise about exactly what we do with the information you provide, why it is required, your rights to view, change or remove any information you have provided and how we protect that information, even when it is not PII.
For your convenience, we have clearly titled every section of our Terms & Conditions and provided in depth sections that clearly define our policies.
As a part of our registration process you will be required to tick a box accepting these terms and conditions and in doing so giving your explicit consent for LIP to process and manage the information that you provide to our service before you can proceed through the registration process.
Membership Period, Benefit & Removal
Membership of LIP is a 12-month membership providing access to the LIP social Network as a Private Member. If at the end of the 12-month membership period you have not upgraded or renewed your membership, your entire membership record will automatically terminate and all of your information, content, connections and access rights will be automatically deleted from our systems permanently (we delete everything so this is none recoverable).
In order to continue using our service, you must upgrade or renew your membership package before the end of your 12-month membership. Once removed, we cannot reinstate your information as it has been automatically and permanently erased from our systems.
The benefit of membership comes from being part of the LIP social Community and utilising the connectivity and opportunities afforded to the membership through our service; once registration is completed you are a member of the LIP social network and as such have access to all of the benefits provided by said membership.
The membership contract
When you complete your online registration on LIP, you are making a contract to join LIP as a specific membership type for the agreed period of your chosen membership level and you are entering into a 12-month agreement with our company. Your membership is for specific access to our social network for a specific period only. When you register you are automatically agreeing to these terms and conditions.
When you register your membership on LIP, you are providing LIP and its owners with the appropriate explicit consent in your country to handle, process and manage any information you provide on our platforms at any time in accordance with the regulatory requirements in your country relating to the way personally identifiable information is handled, managed or processed in that jurisdiction.
As a part of your membership contract you agree to at all times act in a civil and ethical manner towards one another and to take full responsibility for any and all content that you may add to our platform at any time. LIP has and shall continue to have the sole right to remove any member at any time for any reason, whether expressed, implied by statute or otherwise without refund.
There is not and shall not at any time be a provision for written or verbal registration to LIP, we do not at any time accept, transfer or export any data into any physical form and we therefore can never transport or export any physical data to any party. The only data or information we hold about you is the registration data and or content that you have added to our system yourself, you have the ability to view, access, edit, change or remove any or all of this data at any time by logging into your members account and updating or deleting your profile.
Once you profile is deleted, we cannot reinstate your information as it has been automatically and permanently erased from our systems.
Application, renewal & removal of membership
All members must join LIP via the online member registration form provided and provide all of the required information in the subscription form. You will then receive a confirmation email to the email address you used to register, once your registration process is complete. A contract is formed at the point we send the email notification of registration and activation link to the email address you provided in your registration.
Membership of LIP is for an agreed set period and requires a renewal or upgrade to continue the use of LIP; your paid subscription to LIP shall terminate automatically on the anniversary of your registration or until cancelled by you, members are responsible for managing their membership, the content that they add and the relationships they build on LIP.
Members may leave LIP at any time but the membership shall continue to run for the entire agreed period of their membership, after which, if the membership is not renewed or upgraded the membership will be automatically cancelled by our system and all member details, connections and content automatically removed / deleted from the LIP systems and databases. We do not hold any data beyond the point of termination, so we will not be able to recover any information if you change your mind after the point of termination. This is an automated process and has been built to protect the integrity of the data we hold by design and to ensure your right of removal, also known as your right to be forgotten is fully protected.
You agree that failure to adhere to these terms and conditions, formal complaints, or any action which could bring into disrepute the standing or reputation of LIP, the operation, or our members may result in a review of membership, suspension of membership or immediate removal of membership without recourse. This includes providing any false or misleading information when completing the registration form or altering or adding any misleading data or content to our system.
LIP reserves the right to remove, suspend or delete any member for any reason at any time without recourse or refund and any outstanding fees will be paid by you until the end of your agreement or agreed period with us. Any such decision taken will be at the sole discretion of LIP, its owners and its providers without exception.
LIP is a private members social network, no member information or content is available in a public environment unless a member chooses to share their information or content outside of the LIP network. In the event that a person shares their information or content in an out of network environment, only minimal information is provided and does not display any information or content of any other member. The only place to view content on the LIP platform is as a member within the LIP platform.
Data protection, data use & right to access
As a social network, LIP holds the information you provide on our system some of this information may be personal identifiable innformation (PII) about you as an individual citizen in any country, the only data we do hold is the agreed data you provide to us when you subscribe to LIP. As a member of LIP, the data you provide will be used for permission based, member to member communications, marketing and promotions via the internal LIP network, notifications from LIP to our members, statistical and analytical purposes within LIP only, private social networking and to administer your membership.
LIP is committed to protecting the privacy of the information you provide on our systems and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience that we can offer. We have a number of security safeguards in place both on our dedicated servers and on each individual network to protect against any forms of digital intrusion. This includes but is not limited to; CSFR, SQLi, MUA, RFI, DFI and upload Shield Attacks, Admin quiry string, tmpl, Spammer attacks, forced injection, login failure and directory attacks to name but a few. We cannot go into detail about the security systems we operate as this could harm the integrity of the security in our systems by informing undesirable elements in a public environment about the systems they may be trying to work around.
We never produce hard copies, exports or posts of our databases and they are never transferred used from or kept on any forms of portable device, in order to eradicate any and all forms of physical intervention pertaining to the data on our system. You have live access to all of the data we hold on your account, you can access this by logging into your account and selecting edit your profile, this will enable you to view, edit or delete any information in a live environment. If you want a hard copy of your data, we do not produce or hold any hard copies, you will need to request a hard copy intervention and as such waive any protections that we currently provide, this process is covered further down in our terms.
LIP is a private, members only, social platform that is not and cannot be accessed, opened or viewed by anyone who is not a registered, logged in, fully subscribed member of LIP, so as a paid subscription member, your data is never visible in any public domain or unauthorised person.
LIP also use the information we collect during registration to protect against credit card fraud. LIP only use secure, branded and trusted payement gateway providers to manage our subscription transactions and any transactions carried out comes under the policies of the payment providers used.
All communications will be directly from LIP without exception, we do not pass data of any kind to any third party at any time and for any reason, the data we collect never actually leaves our server or systems at any time. Any data provided is exclusively for the use of LIP and its members for the requirements of social networking only.
LIP is a permission based, peer to peer, social network, this means that our entire network is in a private member to member environment and if a member wishes to connect with you, you will be required to accept this approach by clicking the accept approach button, this is giving your explicit consent to connect with the other member making the request, this is also the case when you make a connect request to any other member.
All actions from registration, through to posting content is logged, time and date stamped. This is also the case for every time you log into and out of the platform, this enables us to ensure when posts are made and placed on the system in the right chronological order, these statistics are also used internally for analytical purposes and measuring peak flows on our resources.
If you wish to obtain a copy of any data held by us, then please simply login to your account on LIP and click on the change your profile information button, everything we hold can be found there. If you want a printed copy of the information we hold, we would need to run a specific export of your information into a physical format for you and the request would need to be made officially via our contact form. Please note that you will be charged a fee of £20 for this service and all exports will be in the form of a CSV (the most popular electronical transmissible data format). Once your information is in a physical form and sent to you, we are no longer responsible for this data in this form. You will be asked to provide proof of your identity and to sign a waiver that you no longer wish your data to be protected by LIP or you can login to your account at any time to see any and all of your data for free.
If you believe that any of the information we hold concerning your membership is incorrect or out of date or is in any way personally identifiable information that you do not or did not provide, please visit the website, log into LIP and update or remove your details directly in the edit my details area of the network, keeping your information up to date and only supplying information that is required a is a requirement of being a member of LIP.
Data protection via the website
LIP makes every effort to ensure that the information we provide on our website is accurate. However, we cannot guarantee that the information added by either yourself, our members or our suppliers is correct at the time of reading it and accept no liability for any information given via this website.
Even if data encryption is used, the security of information transmitted via the internet cannot be guaranteed. We use the latest SSL technology as well as secure server firewalls and individual network firewalls and security systems to protect both our service and the information you place upon it. Any losses incurred or sustained by users who transmit information by electronic means shall be borne solely and exclusively by such user and in no event, shall any such losses in whole or in part be borne by LIP or it's owners.
LIP have completed a number of large scale risk assessments on our platforms and have developed a standalone platform in a secure environment that we test, attack and attempt to bypass security on a regular basis, this test platform is identical in every way to our LIP platforms and enables us to probe for any weaknesses on an ongoing basis.
In the unlikely event of a data breach, our systems are designed to automatically detect the attempt, raise an alarm with our administrational team and shut down the entire server immediately; we then analyse the attempted breach, identify if there was indeed a breach and take any required actions to notify the correct authorities within 24-hours of the alarm.
We neither take, nor hold, any financial transaction data, all transactions are made on secure, known payment gateways through the Terms and Conditions provided by the payment gateway providers directly.
LIP is committed to protecting the privacy of the information you provide on our systems and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience that we can provide. We have a number of security safeguards in place both on our servers and individual network to protect against any forms of digital intrusion and we never produce hard copies of our databases in order to eradicate any and all forms of physical intervention pertaining to the data we hold.
LIP is not a data mining organisation and does not sell, trade or rent any personal information to others at any time, we simply use the information we collect on our site to enhance your experience and to help you to connect with like-minded people on the same social platform.
LIP reserves the right to access and disclose any individually identifiable information to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests, to operate its systems properly or to protect itself or its users.
Expectation of Privacy
As a member of a social network you understand and agree that it is expected that other members of the network will be able to see your profile information in order to decide if they wish to connect with you or not, this means that any information or content that you add to LIP, apart from your email address, username, password and contact numbers will be visible to other members on the network and you accept that this is fully within your expectation of privacy without exception.
If you are a member of a free and open social network other than LIP and you have posted the same information on that service you agree and accept that the duplicate information that you place on LIP is already in the public domain and is therefore not protected or private, even if it is PII.
The information and content you provide has to be visible to the other members of LIP in order for the service to function as a social network, to this end you agree and accept that your expectation of privacy is no more than would be expected from a private social network and you are giving LIP and its owners your explicit consent for LIP and its owners to process, manage and make available this information to the members of LIP via the LIP social network.
Any and all information added to LIP will be protected and managed as laid out in this document and as covered, your information will never be provided to any third-party organisation or put into any physical medium, you will also have the ability to login to LIP and edit, change or remove any information you add at any time.
If you do not want your information to be visible to members of LIP then please do not join the network as this visibility is a fundamental part of the function and operations of LIP and is required for any form of social networking to take place.
Accuracy of information & liabilities.
LIP, as far as it is able, has taken all reasonable care that the content of this Network is correct and publishes such information in good faith. As a member of LIP, you acknowledge and accept that LIP cannot and has not checked the accuracy of any information provided by its members and you accept that the information listings may include errors.
LIP is not and will not be responsible for errors, omissions or any misleading information to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law whether by statute or otherwise. LIP will not be liable to you or anyone under any circumstances for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on LIP, including any service or facility that it provides.
LIP GIVES NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE WHATSOEVER REGARDING THE ACCURACY, CURRENCY, RELIABILITY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED AT THIS WEBSITE. ANY WARRANTIES REGARDING SUCH INFORMATION, WHICH MAY BE IMPLIED BY LAW, STATUTE OR OTHERWISE ARE HEREBY EXCLUDED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Users are advised to check the accuracy of the information on this website, including dates of events with organisers and any additional information with the providers of the information.
LIP grants no warranties, whether expressed or implied, by statute or otherwise, that LIP is free from any errors, LIP is provided "AS IS" and on an "IS AVAILABLE" basis without any representations or any kind of warranty made (whether expressed or implied by law) to the full extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security or accuracy.
LIP does not warrant that functions contained in the Network will be uninterrupted or error free, that any defects will be corrected, or that the Network or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs. As a condition for your use of LIP including any service or facility, you agree to indemnify LIP from and against any liability, damage or loss that you or LIP incurs or suffers as a result of any action, inaction or omission on your part.
Our liability to you will not extend to any membership related benefits, goods or services provided by an external provider or another member. We specifically exclude liability for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of your involvement in whatever manner with an external provider, member of this network or this website. Any decision made in relation to purchasing goods and/or services as a result of information obtained from LIP is your sole responsibility.
Ownership, copyright and trademarks
The content of this website belongs exclusively to LIP and its owners, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you or any other party may NOT copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use any of LIP content or services in any way except for your own use as a member of LIP. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any of the LIP content even for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any use of this content requires the prior written permission of LIP and its owners.
The names, images and logos identifying LIP, its owners and their products and services are subject to copyright, design rights and are to be classed as trademarks of LIP and its owners. Nothing contained in these terms shall be construed as conferring by implication, estoppels or otherwise any licence or right to use any trademark, patent, design right or copyright of LIP or FIOFRO Limited.
All members of LIP exclusively own their own data, member data is not and shall at any time become the asset or property of LIP. LIP is the facilitation platform to deliver a private social networking environment to its members, members are solely respponsible for their own data being accurate and correct and so far as they are able responsible for the security of that data not being divulged into the public domain in any way. The members as owners of their data agree to indemnify LIP from and against any liability, damage, fine or loss that LIP incurs or suffers as a result of any action taken or made by you either knowingly or otherwise that leads to your information being obtained by third parties or appearing within the public domain without exception.
Where you are invited to submit any contribution to LIP (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant LIP a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution into other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in our policy, if you do not want to grant to us the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to LIP.
By submitting content to LIP, you submit that all images, text, video, audio and work provided is your own original work and free from any copyright infringements and or that you have the right to make it available to LIP for the purposes specified and that this work is not defamatory and does not infringe any law or any other parties rights in any way.
By submitting contributions to LIP, you agree to fully indemnify LIP, its owners and any of its services against all legal charges, fees, damages, and other expenses that may be incurred by our business as a result of your breach of any copyright, contractual or any other obligations or warrants or for any direct breach of these terms and conditions without exception.
LIP and its owners are not payment process providers; any and all payment facilities are integrated into our systems and provided by the party identified when a purchase is being made, any and all transactions and transaction information that is processed is processed under the payment gateway providers own terms and conditions. Our systems have the ability to integrate with over 20 payment gateway providers, depending on the provider you select will determine the terms and conditions that your transaction falls under,
For the purposes of clarity, we have outline 2 examples of this below;
Some purchases through LIP are handled by PayPal. A PayPal account is not required to make a purchase. All purchases made through the use of PayPal are subject to PayPal’s Terms and Conditions for the processing of that purchase.
Some purchases through LIP are handled by Stripe. A Stripe account is not required to make a purchase but a credit card is required. All purchases made through the use of Stripe are subject to Stripes' Terms and Conditions for the processing of that purchase.
Value Added Tax
All prices displayed on LIP exclude Value Added Tax unless otherwise stated.
Credit Card Payment
If you are not using your own credit/debit card to pay for your membership subscription, you must ask the permission of the credit/debit card holder before entering the payment details.
When a purchase is made, you are confirming that you have obtained the express prior permission of the credit/debit card holder to make the said purchase.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by English law. You hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts notwithstanding the jurisdiction where you are based.
If any court or competent authority decides that any of the provisions of these Terms are invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, the term will, to that extent only, be severed from the remaining terms and replaced with a more compliant term, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
A person who is not party to these Terms shall not have any rights under or in connection with them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
These terms and conditions may change at any time. The most recent published edition of these terms and conditions will be binding upon all members.
Members may exit the contract if they do not accept any proposed variation by ending their membership of LIP at which point their membership shall remain inactive until such times as it automatically terminates and is automatically, permanently removed from our systems.
All LIP members can create their own events on the LIP system.
LIP will not and shall not accept any liability under any circumstances for any and all events, the creation and delivery of events and the purchase of any tickets is strictly between the event organiser and the entity attending the event or buying the said ticket. To this end you hereby agree to indemnify and hold fully indemnified LIP and its owners against any issues of any kind with any event or any purchase that you make using any of our systems at any time.
By creating an event, attending an event or purchasing a ticket you agree to indemnify LIP and its owners from and against any liability, damage or loss that you may incur in either the sale of the ticket, the event it's self and the organising of an event and against the purchase of a ticket to a member created event.
LIP do not at any time leverage or divulge any membership information at any time to any party other than in our member to member environment, any and all special offers are provided to LIP for the benefit of our members should they wish to take advantage of any said special offer, LIP do not provide and are not responsible for special offers. If a member wishes to take advantage of a special offer, they click on the link that takes them out of the LIP network into the public domain of the providers own website.
Our liability to you will not extend to any membership related benefits, goods or services provided by an external provider or another member. We specifically exclude liability for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of your involvement in whatever manner with an external provider, member of this network or this website. Any decision made in relation to purchasing goods and/or services as a result of information obtained or offers taken on LIP is your sole responsibility without exception.
LIP reserves the right to remove any offering, discount or service from any areas of our network and reserves the right to remove any offers from the network without notice at any time at the sole discretion of LIP.
Network Copyright Policy
LIP and its owners believe in respecting and protecting the rights of intellectual property owners. This is not only a question of ethics, but also of law. Advances in electronic communication and technology, such as the Internet, have had a dramatic impact on the way LIP and its associated businesses conducts business, and have greatly facilitated our access to a wide range of information and media. As a result, the risk of copyright infringement, either intentional or accidental, is of increasing concern.
The goal of this policy is to inform the users of our services on rules and procedures relating to copyright law compliance.
Referenced Copyright Laws
Copyright Act (Title 17 of the US Code) – Authorized in Article I of the US Constitution, which states that Congress is allowed to pass legislation “to promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts by security for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries.”
Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 – This law provides recourse for owners of copyrighted materials who believe their rights have been infringed on the Internet.
- LIP reserves the right to monitor end user systems and the content stored therein. LIP also reserves the right to remove, delete, modify, or otherwise disable access to any materials found to be infringing on copyright.
- By reading this policy, a user of any of our services will indemnify and hold LIP harmless for any breach of this policy or copyright law.
- No users of any of our services or visitors to any of our websites may NOT reproduce any copyrighted or other work in violation of the law. Works are protected by US copyright law even if they were not produced in this country.
- Copyrighted materials in the US are not required by law to be registered, unlike patents and trademarks, and may not be required to carry the copyright symbol (©). Therefore, a copyrighted work may not be immediately recognizable. Assume material is copyrighted until proven otherwise.
- If a work is copyrighted, you must seek out and receive express written permission of the copyright holder to reproduce the copyrighted work in order to avoid violation.
- Copyrighted works include, but are not limited to: text (e.g. articles), images (e.g. photographs), graphics (e.g. logos), sound recordings (e.g. MP3s), video recordings (e.g. movies), or software programs.
- Users of our systems, our legal team, Internet Service Providers and Employees at LIP are encouraged to monitor and report all instances and all breaches of actual or suspected copyright infringement to The LIP copyright agent.
All rights are reserved and no part of this network or any other associated websites under the LIP umbrella of business may be copied, stored, reproduced, transmitted in any forms or by any means, without the written permission of LIP and its owners.
In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DCMA), LIP will respond to all appropriate notices of copyright infringement. LIP may, under appropriate circumstances, remove and/or disable access to material claimed to be infringing upon the intellectual property rights of ourselves or others and will initiate legal action where possible to protect our services and reputation without exception.
This policy governs the use of all LIP Trademarks and Brands for any purpose.
LIP Trademarks may be used only as permitted by this policy. The following applies to all uses of LIP businesses and Trademarks;
- The Wordmark is required on all official internal and external communications (excluding e-mail).
- All International and Domestic Partner Web sites must Display an official Logo of LIP or FIOFRO Limited as provided.
- In all matters of Official Business, the company Colours of blue and white and/or Branded Elements (available on the Photo Library in the partners area) are required and must appear prominently.
- Use of the LIP Trademarks in printed and electronic materials must conform to the brand requirements available in the partners area.
- No LIP Trademark may be altered in any way that has not been approved in writing by LIP or FIOFRO Limited.
LIP approved partner Seal.
The LIP Network Seal is reserved for use on official documents bearing the signature of a member or officer of the Board; the president or a vice president, on official awards; or in connection with events involving the president, a vice president. The Seal may be used only as authorised in relation to contracts and international awards.
The Network Brand
LIP, are official brands of FIOFRO Limited. All International Partners are expected to use the brand identity that relates to their contract and license whilst still adhering to the group brand requirements above.
Use of LIP or FIOFRO Limited Brands, Trademarks and Logos
- By Approved International Partners and Domestic Licensed Partners.
- All Licensed parties are required to use the Wordmark and Logo, in connection with all business and may do so as approved in the signed license agreement.
No individual, Unlicensed Business or employee may use any Logos, Brand or Trademark, or the official Web template, or refer to his or her affiliation with LIP, in any manner that suggests or implies LIP or FIOFRO Limited's support or endorsement of a point of view or personal or political opinion, business, activity, movement, or program that is not an Official FIOFRO business or without written agreement under an instance. If there is potential for confusion in a statement describing affiliation with FIOFRO Limited or any of our brands, one should dispel confusion through the use of a disclaimer stating that FIOFRO Limited is not involved in the business, activity, movement, or program.
By Associated Organisations
Foundations and other associated organisations that have entered into Memoranda of Understanding with LIP or FIOFRO Limited, as defined in the policies of the Board, may use the Network Logo as provided in such memoranda. All use must be in connection with their Network related activities and must comply with all policies and procedures of FIOFRO Limited.
Prohibited Uses of Trademarks
Neither the name of LIP, FIOFRO Limited nor any of its partners Trademarks, including the company Colours, may be used in any way that gives a false impression, is misleading, or could cause confusion regarding LIP relationship with any person or entity. Specifically, neither the name of LIP nor any Partners Trademark may be used to characterise LIP user of a product or service, or as having conducted research relating to a commercial product or program, or in any other way to convey or imply the endorsement of a commercial product or service.
Neither the name of LIP / FIOFRO Limited nor any Partners Trademark may be used in connection with any person, entity, product, or service with which the association could adversely affect LIP image or standing or that would for any other reason be inappropriate for an International company.
If a violation of this policy is identified, LIP / FIOFRO Limited will be required to work with the Legal Department to determine the action needed, which may include redesign and reprinting of materials, license removal, financial easing. With respect to all violations of this policy, LIP / FIOFRO Limited reserves its right to seek appropriate remedies under applicable International and Local law.
Neither party shall be liable to the other for any delay or non-performance of its obligations by reason of matters beyond its control including, but not limited to, any act of terrorism, war, riot, civil commotion, compliance with any law or government order, fire, flood or storm, strikes, or any other industrial dispute, delay in transit, power failure, postal delay, or any event that cannot be reasonably be planned for or avoided.
